Our Mihi

While we have been getting to know each other in Com 1, we have been revisiting our Mihi. A Mihi is a greeting in Maori (the indigenous people of NZ). It is used to introduce ourselves. When many people get together for the first time, it is nice to make connections. A mihi helps us identify what people, places and ancestors we might have in common with people we are meeting for the first time.

  1. I can't wait for someone from Community One to tell me their mihi. I'll be WELL impressed! Great to see your Blog! Miss Baker
